In Prague, she studied at a Czech-Spanish Grammar School and subsequently graduated from the Police Academy, majoring in Security-Legal Studies and Criminalistics. For a year, she worked as an assistant professor at the Department of Criminalistics. She teaches foreign languages, mainly English and Spanish. In her stories, she uses experience not only from criminalistics but also from other fields she is involved in. Her work is primarily influenced by her interest in history and historical fencing, which she actively practises, and her study of psychology with a focus on negative social phenomena. Nor does she neglect so-called "things between heaven and earth". Thanks to this, we can also find fantasy elements in her books, which complement the detective plots from the reign of Wenceslas II. Her other hobbies include horse riding, jewellery making, and writing book reviews, where she focuses on historical novels and detective stories. She is a regular contributor to the databazeknih.cz server, for example. The author came to the attention of readers with her debut novel, The Murder of a Dishonourable Virgin, which was published in the spring of 2020. She currently lives in Prague, where she is raising three sons with her husband. LIBOR HRUŠKA Libor Hruška (born 27 September 1965) is a Czech actor, voice actor, and director. He is the son of Zdeněk Hruška, a voice-over director, and actress Miluše Dreiseitlová. His brother Zdeněk, wife Kateřina Seidlová, and son Michal are also actors. He graduated from the conservatory and has worked as an actor at Divadlo ve věži (where he also directs productions), Divadlo Na Prádle, Divadelní společnost Háta, the National Moravian-Silesian Theatre (formerly Státní divadlo Ostrava), Divadlo pod Palmovkou, and the Karlín Music Theatre. He occasionally acts in film or television. As a voice-over director, he has worked on the Czech dubbing of the series Alarm für Cobra 11, for example. As an actor, he has been regularly dubbing since the early 1990s and has since appeared in dozens of films and series (in sci-fi, for example, as Rodney McKay in the series Stargate: Atlantis, as Benjamin Sisko in the series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, and since 2020 as Captain Gabriel Lorca in the series Star Trek: Discovery). He won the František Filipovský Award in 2006 for dubbing Ray Charles (played by Jamie Foxx) in the film Ray. He also lent his voice to the character Eddie Scarpa in the computer game Mafia II and is also currently involved in narrating audiobooks.
