My Way is an album by American singer Frank Sinatra, released in 1969 on his own label, Reprise.
Francis Albert Sinatra, known professionally as Frank Sinatra, was an American pop, jazz and swing singer and actor, and one of the biggest popular music stars of the 20th century.
His performances in Las Vegas became his home stage, from which he embarked on American and international concert tours. The hits he popularised include songs such as "Strangers in the Night", "My Way" and "New York, New York".
During his career, he received eleven Grammy Awards, although the awards were not established until 1958, after the two peaks of his recording career. For his role as Private Angelo Maggio in the drama From Here to Eternity, he won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor and a Golden Globe in the same category. The film Pal Joey earned him a Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Comedy or Musical.
In 1985, Ronald Reagan awarded him the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Twelve years later, he received the nation's highest honour, the Congressional Gold Medal. After his death, American music critic Robert Christgau called him "the greatest singer of the 20th century."
He is perceived as one of the most iconic figures of his time.
