The sons of man
The two dead men are linked by an old secret—and they're not the only ones
In the centre of Reykjavík, retired teacher Halldór is found brutally murdered. At almost the same time, Daníel, one of his former pupils, commits suicide in the psychiatric clinic where he has spent most of his life. His younger brother, Pálmi, tries to understand Daníel's actions and delves into his past. In doing so, he discovers that the two dead men are linked by an old secret—and they're not the only ones. By this point, Inspector Erlendur and his colleagues from the Reykjavík CID are also taking an interest in the same events. And to their surprise, they uncover a case of unexpected proportions.
