The Boy Who Saw in the Dark is one of the most distinctive works of modern Latvian literature.
A Latvian playwright and writer. In 2011, she graduated from the bachelor's programme in theatre, film and television dramaturgy at the Latvian Academy of Culture. In 2013, she earned a master's degree in cultural management and creative writing. Her plays are staged in major Latvian state and independent theatres, as well as abroad – in Lithuania, Estonia, Russia and Israel. She also writes scripts for films, television series, radio plays and concerts. Rasa participates in a number of local and international dramaturgy workshops, some of which she organises herself. In her work, she often touches upon sensitive social topics, looking for ways to make them accessible to the general public. Her novel The Boy Who Saw in the Dark is one of the most distinctive works of modern Latvian literature.
