Do we have something like a seventh sense that can sense danger? Why does our immune system respond to the colours and smells of the forest? Is it possible that trees breathe? And should we view plants as intelligent beings? Peter Wohlleben shows us once again how close we are to nature and how connected we remain to it.
He studied forestry and worked for more than twenty years as a clerk in the state forestry administration of Rhineland-Palatinate. He left his job to pursue ecologically oriented forestry. In 2016 he founded the Forest Academy. He is a frequent guest on television and imparts his knowledge not only in his books and seminars, but also in his extraordinary forest wanderings.
After studying at the DAMU, he worked at the Drama Studio in Ústí nad Labem, then at the Kolín City Theatre and also played at the Prague Drama Club. Between 1990 and 2006 he played a number of important roles in the Prague Theatre pod Palmovkou and currently performs in productions of the Prague City Theatres. He is well known for his work on television series, his radio work and excels in dubbing - he has lent his voice to Tom Hanks and Kevin Spacey, and has also voiced Professor Severus Snape in the Harry Potter films and Agent Cooper in the cult TV series Twin Peaks.
