“Can the truth disappear?”
The answer to this question is hidden better than the body of a high-class prostitute, better than a cigar butt at a non-smokers' party. And does anyone even want it?
In the streets of Prague, a city that survived a war, few people are interested in the truth. Ordinary people live in fear and humility, so as not to draw the attention of the all-powerful gospels that decide matters of life and death. And in the dark alleys survive those with awakened power coursing through their veins. They are despised and damned. Because of them, the city does not sleep. Because of them, people die.
Štěpán Kastner couldn't care less about all this. He has an influential father behind him and a future of doing nothing and frequenting Prague's pubs ahead of him. But then, a completely innocent decision is all it takes – and he discovers that behind the glitter of the bars, the devil is lurking. And he doesn't pull any punches.
So, do you dare to cross the threshold?
