A Comprehensive Publication with an Emphasis on Game Systems and Skill Development
This publication aims to provide the volleyball community with broader knowledge from the theory and practice of training children and young people in volleyball. In terms of age, it covers children from six to twelve years old and young people from twelve years (up to seventeen for girls and up to eighteen for boys).
The introduction consists of selected passages from the rules of all five types of mini-volleyball and six-a-side volleyball. The following chapters continue with a description of game systems, combinations, and individual activities in volleyball, their practice and training, with examples of preparatory and game exercises and types of play that can be used for training.
Each chapter concludes with a diagnosis of game and volleyball skills. The entire text is supplemented with illustrative diagrams, kinograms, and photographs.
The publication follows on from the textbooks Theory and Didactics of Volleyball and Volleyball Training, with which it forms a whole that helps to contribute to the acquisition of theoretical knowledge and practical didactic skills for coaching and improvement in training for those interested in volleyball.
The textbook is intended primarily for students of sports games with a specialisation in volleyball at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport of Charles University, as well as for teachers, coaches, and youth trainers.
