The tense atmosphere of Vinohrady in 1881 is dramatized by the murder of a young student

When the body of a murdered Czech law student is discovered in Vinohrady in the spring of 1881, Vinohrady' s chief police commissioner, Alois Albrecht, is faced with the question of whether the prevailing national tensions between Czech and German students could have led to such a tragic event as the murder of one of them. To make matters worse, the investigator himself is facing criticism from the Czech press, which accuses him of supporting German guerillas. When another similar death occurs, the situation begins to become increasingly complicated.

An engaging novel awarded in the MOBA publishing house' s literary competition.
