This connecting cable is designed to connect two audio-video devices equipped with an HDMI interface. It can be used, for example, with an HD-DVD, Blu-ray player or LCD TV. The shielded cable can transmit both digital audio and high-quality images while supporting the HDCP content protection technology. It is coupled with an HDMI, integrated high-speed Ethernet transmission (formerly referred to as HDMI 1.4).
