AMD X470 chipset
Even though the new processors from the AMD Ryzen 2000 series are tuned for the first generation, the motherboards have undergone a complete overhaul: from the power supply to, for example, support for faster operating memories. Last but not least, the AMD X470 chipset will take care of the trouble-free operation of XFR2 Extended and Precision Boost 2 Overdrive. Therefore, Raven Ridge processors will be able to work longer at a higher frequency with the MSI X470 GAMING PRO even during the load.
The right motherboard for demanding gamers
PCI Express 3.0 slots are used to plug in graphics cards. When you plug in AMD CrossFire cards, you get the chance to enjoy the most up-to-date graphics resolution. MSI Steel Armor has more and better bonded points that guarantee greater durability, while the MSI X470 GAMING PRO protects against electromagnetic interference.
The MSI X470 GAMING PRO easily matches your gaming assembly
If you expect the maximum speed from your SSDs, connect them to the M.2 slots. External drives will enjoy high speeds with the built-in 2nd Gen USB 3.1 ports. If you want the MSI X470 GAMING PRO to visually match the rest of your gaming assembly, there's no problem: the adjustable MSI Mystic Light backlight gives you a choice of different backlight modes and plenty of colour variations.
