Why Should You Buy a SSD?
SSDs represent a dramatic performance boost for all types of PCs. The key to success lies in the absence of any moving parts and a completely dissimilar data processing system. This results in better durability and improved resistance to shocks and bumps. Also note the almost silent operation and significantly reduced power consumption. The Seagate Barracuda 120 500GB contains a special 3D NAND chip. This chip type is popular due to its vertical multilayered shape, resembling tiny skyscrapers. For some models, the manufacturer lists their endurance in terabytes written (TBW). The Seagate Barracuda 120 500GB has a TBW of 300 TBW.
