Seagate TapeStor DAT 24 Ultra SCSI2 externí - 24/12 GB, 132MB/min., DDS3, 2MB, ext. zdroj, stojánek,
Professional backup system for servers based on industry standard magnetic tape DDS-3 (DAT) with a capacity of 24 GB (compressed).Drive is equipped with 2 MB buffer and a backup speed reaches 132 megabytes per minute. It is in the external implementation with the Ultra SCSI-2.
Tape drive is equipped with two readers and two heads and writes for registration immediately carry out the inquiry. While reading and writing is used technologies PRML (Partial response Maximum Likehood) with the tri-state-output logic, which in the space intended for one bit bits come in two.
At the beginning of each tape is stored information about its history, which are checked for insertion into the drive. The user can easily find out how long the tape is used, which contributes to higher reliability.
Life of the tape is about 20 years and lasts approximately 2000 passes drive.DDS tape can be like a floppy disk to protect against registration.
