Choosing a power supply
When choosing a suitable PC power supply, the key parameter besides the format is its output. This indicates the maximum number of Watts the power supply can continuously deliver to the components in the computer. It is a good idea to use a web-based calculator to work out the optimal output based on your chosen components.
Efficient power with precise voltage regulation
The 80 PLUS Gold certification confirms an energy conversion efficiency of 90% at 50% load and 87% at 20% and 100% load. Higher efficiency, along with active Power Factor Correction (PFC), limits energy losses, reducing electricity consumption and running costs. This means the power supply converts a larger portion of the energy from the mains directly into power for the components and produces less residual heat. The design, featuring an LLC resonant converter, helps maintain stable and precise output voltage on all rails. This topology reduces switching losses and supports the reliable operation of sensitive components, such as modern processors and graphics cards. The technology contributes to high output voltage stability even during sudden and rapid changes in load, which is crucial for high-performance builds.
Intelligent S2FC cooling and comprehensive safety mechanisms
Cooling is handled by a 120mm fan with a sleeve bearing, controlled by Smart and Silent Fan Control (S2FC) technology. This intelligent system actively adjusts the fan speed according to the current temperature and load, maintaining an optimal balance between cooling and quietness. Under low load, Zero RPM mode is activated, which stops the fan completely for silent operation, and smoothly starts it up as the load increases. The power supply integrates a set of key protective features that prevent damage to connected devices. This includes over-voltage protection, under-voltage protection, over-current protection, over-power protection, over-temperature protection, and short-circuit protection. These mechanisms protect connected components from electrical damage in the event of an unstable grid or a fault.

80 Plus certification on the European market
The 80 Plus certification was created to objectively assess the efficiency of PC power supplies. It gives users a simple and clear way to compare different models. On the European market (where 230V is used), there are six levels of 80 Plus certification with set requirements for PC power supplies. Higher energy efficiency primarily means lower energy consumption.
| PC PSU load | Efficiency at 20% load | Efficiency at 50% load | Efficiency at 100% load |
|---|---|---|---|
| 80 PLUS | 82 % | 85 % | 82 % |
| 80 PLUS Bronze | 85 % | 88 % | 85 % |
| 80 PLUS Silver | 87 % | 90 % | 87 % |
| 80 PLUS Gold | 90 % | 92 % | 89 % |
| 80 PLUS Platinum | 92 % | 94 % | 90 % |
| 80 PLUS Titanium | 94 % | 96 % | 94 % |
