NIKWAX rug proof 5 litres
NIKWAX Rug Proof is an effective impregnator for animal suits and all types of horse blankets, whether lined or unlined. The impregnation restores and improves the water resistance of the material while maintaining its breathability. Extends service life, optimises functionality and improves insulation. It is suitable for blankets with a membrane such as Gore-Tex, SympaTex, Rambo Rugs and others.

Use:
For best results, we always recommend washing in Nikwax Rug Wash first. This product is designed for new and used horse blankets and dog suits, providing them with long-lasting water resistance. It is not necessary to dry the blankets before impregnation. Shake well before use. Respect the symbols on the product label.
Applications in the washing machine:
Remove any detergent residue from the detergent dispenser. Put the clean blanket/linen in the washing machine. For a horse blanket, dose 500 ml of product - wash only one piece. For dog outfits according to size, dose 200 ml (Labrador size, ), 100 ml (Yorkshire Terrier) - wash a maximum of two pieces. Set the cotton programme to 30 °C.
Hand application by dipping:
For manual application, use gloves. Mix Rug Proof with 10 litres of lukewarm water in a suitable container. The batch is for 1 blanket. Stir properly, place a clean blanket in the container so that it is completely submerged. Add another 15 litres of lukewarm water and stir. Leave on for 2 hours, tossing occasionally. Soak in cold water until the water is completely clear.
Hand application with sponge:
Use gloves for manual application. Spread a clean blanket over a protected clean area and wet it thoroughly with a hose. Mix 500 ml of the product with 1.5 litres of lukewarm water. The batch is for one blanket. Use a new sponge. Apply evenly to the surface of the blanket, paying close attention to the seams. Leave on for 5 - 10 minutes. Use any excess on the back of the blanket. Rinse in cold water until the water is completely clear.
Drying:
Let air dry or, if allowed, tumble dry at low temperatures. Follow the instructions on the product label.
