The disc is especially suitable for recording video or audio recordings in high quality and for backing up large volumes of data. Using a special printer, they can create a theme, which will then represent the content of the media. A special blue laser with a wavelength of 405 nm is used for recording, after which this technology is also called. The recording layer of the media is located only 0.1 mm below the surface and a thin surface layer with very high resistance is added to the disc against possible damage.
