Speed and Smoothness in Gaming
The 240Hz refresh rate minimises lag and delivers exceptionally smooth visuals, which is crucial in fast-paced action titles. ASUS Extreme Low Motion Blur (ELMB) technology supports a fast response time, which reduces ghosting and blur on fast-moving objects. The ASUS TUF Gaming VG27VQM monitor dynamically changes the overdrive setting using the ASUS Variable Overdrive function, which optimises image sharpness at different frame rates. Image synchronisation with the graphics card output is provided by FreeSync Premium technology, which prevents tearing and stuttering.
Visual Performance
The curved VA panel of the ASUS TUF Gaming VG27VQM monitor surrounds the user's field of view, pulling them right into the centre of the action. The panel offers a high native contrast ratio that reveals deep shades of black and clearly defined details in the shadows. Wide colour coverage of 105% sRGB along with high colour depth ensures accurate and vivid colour reproduction. In addition, HDR10 support extends the dynamic range of the image, ensuring a more realistic rendering of light and dark scenes.
Gaming Features and Eye Care
The ASUS TUF Gaming VG27VQM monitor includes a suite of features for gamers. ASUS Shadow Boost technology automatically brightens dark areas in the game without overexposing the bright parts, which helps you spot opponents. The monitor also offers a set of preset ASUS GameVisual modes for different types of content and games. The integrated ASUS GamePlus function adds useful in-game tools like a crosshair, timer, or FPS counter. To protect your eyes during long gaming sessions, the monitor uses Flicker-Free technology to reduce backlight flicker and a blue light filter with several setting levels. The monitor also includes integrated speakers. Intuitive control is provided by the ASUS DisplayWidget Lite software tool, which allows you to easily and quickly adjust settings and configure exclusive ASUS features.
Monitor Ergonomics
The ergonomic stand of the ASUS TUF Gaming VG27VQM monitor offers a wide range of positioning options for individual adjustment. It allows for height adjustment, tilt, and side-to-side swivel. Colour Gamut
Determines how accurately the monitor can display colours. sRGB is ideal for web, movies, or games. DCI-P3/Adobe RGB is appreciated by graphic designers or professionals at work. The higher the stated value, the better the monitor displays colours. Maximum Brightness
The value, given in nits or cd/m², determines the brightness level of the monitor. Brightness above 400 nits is key for HDR content and readability in sunlight, while standard office monitors are fine with values above 250. Refresh Rate and Response Time
The refresh rate (Hz) determines the number of frames displayed per second, so the higher the value, the smoother the image and the less eye strain. A lower response time (ms) value eliminates motion blur. 144Hz+ is ideal for gaming, while values around 75Hz are suitable for office monitors.Specifications
