The MSI MAG 274QF gaming monitor is built on a 27" Rapid IPS panel with a 2560×1440 resolution, which brings fine detail to games and work. The WQHD monitor with a 180Hz frequency combines a high refresh rate with a fast 0.5ms (GTG) response time, resulting in a smooth display without motion blur. The flat screen with a 16:9 aspect ratio is useful for a wide range of content. The combination of speed and detailed picture is particularly useful in dynamic gaming genres. Thanks to the high pixel density on the 27" screen size, even fine details stand out. The colour rendering offers 10-bit colour depth (8-bit + FRC), which displays up to 1.07 billion colours and creates smooth gradients without banding. 124% sRGB colour space coverage results in vibrant and rich colours. The monitor also displays High Dynamic Range (HDR Ready) content, which enhances the contrast between the light and dark parts of the scene.
Performance for Smooth Gaming
The 180Hz refresh rate of the MSI MAG 274QF monitor redraws the image up to 180 times per second, which leads to significantly smoother motion and reduces response lag in fast-paced games. The short 0.5ms (GTG) response time reduces ghosting and blurring during fast camera movements. The combination of these parameters minimises visual artefacts such as ghosting and keeps the image clean. Smooth motion without screen tearing is further supported by AMD FreeSync technology, which synchronises the graphics card's frame rate with the monitor's refresh rate.
Intelligent Features, Eye Protection and Ergonomics
The MSI MAG 274QF monitor uses AI Vision technology, which analyses the displayed content in real time. The function intelligently brightens details in dark areas without overexposing the light parts of the scene. At the same time, it adjusts the overall brightness and colour saturation for a more visually impressive experience. For eye protection during prolonged use, the monitor includes a Less Blue Light feature, which reduces blue light emissions through software. Flicker-Free technology then stabilises the backlighting and eliminates the invisible flicker that can cause eye strain. The monitor stand offers a screen tilt range of −5° to 20°. For more advanced ergonomic adjustments, the rear has 100×100mm VESA mounting holes for mounting on a wall or an adjustable arm.
Connectivity
One DisplayPort 1.4a port and two HDMI 2.0b ports are used to connect to a computer or a games console. Only the DisplayPort supports the full 180Hz refresh rate at native WQHD resolution, while the HDMI ports are limited to 144Hz. A headphone output completes the equipment.
