The EIZO colourEdge EV3240X-BK uses Hi-PWM technology for brightness control, which controls the light flux of the backlight system's LED elements with high-frequency pulse-width modulation in the order of tens of kHz, so there is no image flicker when the screen brightness is reduced by the user. In the evening, you can significantly reduce the blue spectrum emitted by the EIZO colourEdge EV3240X-BK's backlighting system by up to 80% in “PAPER” mode. This is achieved by lowering the monitor's white point below 5000K. The image is thus always optimal under any lighting conditions.

The EIZO colourEdge EV3240X-BK has an efficient automatic LED backlight control system that can create a stable and flicker-free image. This also leads to a reduction in the monitor's power consumption. The brightness of the EIZO colourEdge EV3240X-BK LCD monitor can be adjusted from 1cd/m² to 350cd/m² (1% - 100% of the maximum brightness). The display of images in the sRGB range is correct even in viewers that do not support Colour Management (without CMS), i.e. in internet browsers and other applications. This is another reason why the EIZO colourEdge EV3240X-BK monitor is suitable for beginners who are not familiar with Colour Management and colour reproduction of photos on monitors. The monitor has a dedicated “sRGB” button, which also automatically sets the appropriate white point temperature and selects the correct gradation curve (the rate of black point increase).

A range of devices and popular peripherals can be connected to the EIZO colourEdge EV3240X-BK monitor. Thanks to USB-C, DP and HDMI, the monitor can process not only video data, but also YCbCr up to a resolution of 3840 × 2160px at 60 frames per second. For example, the Screen InStyle software can define “hot keys” for switching input video signals directly from the keyboard, set the white point for “Paper” mode, synchronise brightness changes on multiple monitors simultaneously with a single control, or even match the monitor's white point with the white point of the print template's lighting.
