Philips presents the 40" model 4 television, which offers a 40" LED panel with Full HD resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. The TV uses the Titan OS operating system for quick access to streaming services like Netflix, Disney+, or HBO Max. The manufacturer has integrated Pixel Plus FHD technology for sharper images and support for both HDR10 and HLG standards. This compact HDR television is ideal for smaller rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, or caravans. The device has an energy efficiency rating of E with a consumption of 33 kWh per 1,000 hours in SDR mode.
The 102cm screen uses Direct LED backlighting and a glossy panel surface. The actual panel frequency is 50/60Hz. Pixel Plus FHD technology enhances the sharpness of every shot and renders even the smallest details. The screen brightness is 200cd/m². Support for HDR10 and HLG standards improves contrast and colour reproduction in both dark and bright scenes to display more vivid shades of colour.
The integrated speakers offer a total power of 12W. Dolby Audio technology delivers clear sound for dialogues, music, and action scenes from nature documentaries. The vocal enhancement feature helps users increase or decrease the volume of speech without affecting other background sounds. Separate headphone volume control makes it easy to set the sound level for connected headphones independently of the main speakers.
The Titan OS operating system offers a clear interface in Czech and Slovak and quick access to apps. Supported services include Netflix, HBO Max, Disney+, and Spotify. Users can use voice search via compatible Alexa and Google Assistant assistants when connected to a Matter smart home. Hybrid HbbTV broadcasting is also included.
For video gamers, the manufacturer has prepared a special GAME MODE. When activated, the mode optimises screen settings and reduces input lag when playing on game consoles connected via the HDMI 2.0 interface. The game mode adjusts display parameters for a smooth experience during fast action scenes, which helps to improve reaction time in dynamic situations.
The connectivity options include three HDMI 2.0 ports, one of which supports the eARC function for audio transmission. Two USB ports are available for connecting external storage. Wireless connectivity uses a built-in WiFi module with DLNA support for multimedia sharing. The TV tuner can receive DVB-S2, DVB-C, and DVB-T2 HEVC broadcasts.
The design with a thin, borderless frame and a solid stand with a span of 77.11cm fits even on smaller tables. The overall dimensions are 53.92×89.19×21cm with a weight of 4.94kg. Without the stand, the device has a height of 51.69cm and a depth of 8.38cm. Wall mounting requires a compatible VESA 200×200mm bracket.
