This device is aimed at demanding gamers and households that transfer large volumes of data. The hardware uses a quad-band system and a 2.6GHz quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM. WiFi Router Speed and Bands
The device uses the Wi-Fi 7 standard, which is backward compatible with older 802.11a/b/g/n/ac standards. Quad-band technology divides wireless traffic into four separate bands, reducing interference in congested environments. The 320MHz bandwidth in the 6GHz band, together with 4096 QAM modulation, significantly increases network throughput. Network Security
Transmitted data is protected by advanced encryption standards for both personal and business networks. The AiProtection Pro system from Trend Micro detects threats in real time and blocks access to malicious websites. An integrated firewall and comprehensive VPN protocols protect the entire network from external attacks. The WPS hardware button on the device's body allows for quick client connections. Supported standards include WPA, WPA2, WPA3, and WPA2 Enterprise encryption. The AiProtection Pro security system is complemented by VPN clients and servers for L2TP, OpenVPN, PPTP, WireGuard, and IPSec protocols. DNS over TLS and SSH protocols further enhance security.
WiFi Router Management and Modes
At the heart of the device is a powerful 2.6GHz quad-core processor, supported by 2GB of RAM and 256MB of flash storage. The entire system is managed via the ASUSWRT interface or the Instant Guard mobile app. Users can switch between several operating modes according to the current needs of the network infrastructure: The device functions as a standalone router, access point, repeater, media bridge, or as a node within an AiMesh network.
Connectivity Options
Physical connection to the internet and the local network is provided by a rich set of high-throughput Ethernet ports. It includes fast 10Gbps connectors as well as standard Gigabit ports for common network devices. A pair of USB ports are used for data sharing or connecting a backup modem. The router is equipped with one 10Gbps WAN/LAN port, one 10Gbps LAN port, one 2.5Gbps WAN/LAN port, three 2.5Gbps LAN ports, and one Gigabit LAN port. Two USB ports are also available: a USB 3.2 Gen 1 and a USB 2.0 for connecting external devices.
