Calibration
Calibration is the process of checking a breathalyser's results against reference values. During calibration, the device's sensor and software are adjusted so that the alcohol content indicated on the display is identical to the alcohol content listed on the standard bottle in the simulator–calibrator. The frequency of calibration depends on the breathalyser model and the technology of your sensor. Breathalysers with electrochemical sensors are calibrated less frequently than models with a semiconductor sensor. The manufacturer will calibrate AlcoForce breathalysers purchased within the last 12 months completely free of charge. For older devices, calibration can be carried out for a fee.
