The TECMATE OPTIMATE solar charger is designed for charging lead-acid, maintenance-free MF, gel and AGM batteries with a capacity of 15–240Ah. The solar charger and controller together form a pulse charger with a 3–5A pulse output current. The solar panel is weatherproof. During the day it charges and maintains a 12V battery, and at night it monitors its status, which is displayed every 3 seconds on the easy-to-read LED panel. The charger also works in low sunlight.

Charging and Monitoring in One
The TECMATE OPTIMATE solar charger charges batteries from as low as 1V thanks to its pulse action. The charger features smart charging technology, which automatically chooses between pulse and continuous charging according to the intensity of the sunlight. If the battery is sufficiently charged, the charger selects the optimisation mode. During the night, the smart controller turns into a battery monitor and checks the battery status. It then displays this on the LED display every 3 seconds. In monitoring mode, the TECMATE OPTIMATE 60W charger draws less than 0.5mA. When the sun starts shining brightly enough, the charger automatically switches to charging mode.
Installing the TECMATE OPTIMATE Solar Charger
The controller is separate from the solar panel. This allows it to be placed near the vehicle or battery for easy monitoring of the battery status or its charging progress. The solar panel must be installed so that it can capture as much sunlight as possible.
