Be quiet! Dark Rock 6
The DARK ROCK 6 CPU air cooler dissipates heat from the processors on computer motherboards. This model uses a single 135mm fan and six copper heat pipes. The design combines aluminium fins with a nickel-plated copper base. The cooling system dissipates thermal power of up to 220W. It connects to the motherboard via a 4-pin PWM connector, which regulates the fan speed up to 2000RPM.

Switching operating modes
The device offers a hardware switch to choose between quiet and performance modes. In semi-passive mode, the fan stops completely if the PWM value drops below 40%. Users can switch between operating modes using the switch. The system's noise level is kept at 31.1dB.
Heat dissipation
The base consists of six 6mm copper heat pipes that transfer heat to the aluminium fins. A surface coating with ceramic particles enhances heat transfer to the surrounding air. The cooler's asymmetrical body design facilitates the installation of high-profile RAM modules. Cut-outs in the fins prevent collision with the VRM heatsinks on the motherboard.
Silent Wings fan
Airflow is generated by a 135×135×25mm Silent Wings PWM fan. It uses a fluid-dynamic bearing and a 6-pole motor, which reduce vibrations during operation. The specially shaped fan blades increase the static air pressure to 2.48mm H₂O. The gap between the blades and the frame optimises airflow up to 135.04m³/h.
Cooler design
The cooler's body combines aluminium fins with a copper base, which has a CNC-machined surface for close contact with the processor. The top is covered by a magnetic lid that hides the heat pipe ends and mounting holes. The cooler's black finish matches other dark components in the computer case. The entire cooling block weighs 1010g and has a height of 162mm.
Installation
The mounting system uses a pre-installed mounting bridge, which makes it easier to attach to both Intel and AMD processor sockets. Users attach the fan using a rail system, reducing the time needed for installation. The cooler supports modern Intel LGA 1700, LGA 1851 and AMD AM5 sockets.
Cooler compatibility
The cooler's contact surface has a nickel-plated finish that resists chemical reactions with liquid metal. This means you can use highly effective liquid-metal-based thermal pastes to increase cooling efficiency. The nickel-plated copper base of the cooler contributes to safe operation even with long-term contact with these aggressive media. The cooler thus meets the requirements for cooling processors with high thermal output.
