

You wake up with a stuffy nose, sneezing and coughing, you have a fever and your whole body hurts. Cold or flu? Many people think that colds and flu are the same thing. A common cold is not nearly as dangerous as the flu can be in some cases. In general, influenza has a faster onset, more pronounced symptoms and is associated with fever, muscle aches and cough. COLDREX products are suitable for any stage of cold or flu and are designed to bring relief from multiple different cold and flu symptoms, allowing you to focus on your daily activities.


Coldrex tablets are indicated for adults (including elderly patients) and adolescents aged 12 years and older for the short-term relief of cold and flu symptoms, including fever and chills, headaches, sore throat, joint and muscle pain, of a stuffy nose, sinusitis, wet cough and associated pain and acute rhinitis.

Coldrex tablets contain the following medicinal substances: Paracetamol (500 mg)which is a painkiller and also helps to reduce fever. Phenylephrine hydrochloride (5 mg)which reduces congestion of the nasal mucosa, is used to reduce swelling of the nasal mucosa and thus facilitates breathing. Ascorbic acid or vitamin C (30 mg)which is a common ingredient in cold and flu preparations. It helps replace vitamin C, which can be depleted in the early stages of colds and flu. Terpin monohydrate (20 mg)which helps to reduce the viscosity of mucus and increase the productivity of coughing, thus facilitating its expectoration. Caffeine (25 mg) helps the analgesic effect of paracetamol. Clinical data has shown that the combination of paracetamol with caffeine provides greater pain relief.


Adults (including elderly patients) and adolescents from 15 years of age: 1-2 tablets after 4-6 hours as needed up to 4 times within 24 hours. 1 tablet as a single dose is suitable for persons with a body weight of 34-60 kg, 2 tablets as a single dose is suitable for persons with a body weight of over 60 kg. The highest single dose is 1g of paracetamol (2 tablets), the maximum daily dose is 4g of paracetamol (8 tablets) and the minimum interval between doses is 4 hours.
Do not take Coldrex, if you are allergic to paracetamol, phenylephrine, caffeine, ascorbic acid or terpine monohydrate, or to any of the other ingredients in this product, if you have severe liver dysfunction or acute hepatitis (inflammation of the liver), if you have severe hypertension (very high blood pressure), if you have a type of glaucoma called narrow-angle glaucoma, if you are taking or have taken antidepressant medicines called MAO (monoamine oxidase) inhibitors in the last two weeks.
Keep out of sight and reach of children. Store at temperatures up to 25 ºC. Do not use the product after the expiry date marked on the packaging. The expiry date shall be the last day of the month indicated. Do not dispose of any medicines in wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of products you no longer use. These measures help protect the environment.
