
DIKY contains the medicinal substance diclofenac sodium, which belongs to the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). DIKY is used for the relief of mild to moderate acute pain and swelling affecting small or medium-sized joints and surrounding tissues following acute blunt trauma. DIKY is intended for short-term topical treatment.
DIKY is indicated for use in adults and adolescents over 14 years of age.
Adults and adolescents aged 14 and over:
The recommended dose of the product is 4 to 5 squeezes of the pump.
The product is applied to the painful area 3 times a day. The number of times the pump is pressed depends on the size of the affected area. The maximum single dose should not exceed 5 pump presses. The maximum daily dose is 15 squeezes of the pump. Do not use it for more than 7-8 days without consulting your doctor.
Excipients are: isopropyl alcohol, soy lecithin, anhydrous ethanol, sodium hydrogen phosphate dodecahydrate, sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate, disodium disodium acetate dihydrate, propylene glycol (E1520), peppermint oil, ascorbyl palmitate, 10% (w/w) hydrochloric acid or 10% (w/w) sodium hydroxide solution (to adjust pH) and purified water.
Children and Adolescents:
Do not use this product in children and adolescents under 14 years of age.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding:
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you think, that you might be pregnant, or you're planning to get pregnant, check with your doctor or pharmacist first, before using this product. Do not use DIKY if you are in the last 3 months of pregnancy. Do not use during the first 6 months of pregnancy unless absolutely necessary and advised by your doctor. If you need treatment during this period, use the lowest dose for the shortest possible time. Oral dosage forms (e.g. diclofenac tablets) may cause side effects in your unborn baby. It is not known whether the same risk applies to DIKY when used on the skin. DIKY can be used by breastfeeding women only after consulting a doctor, as diclofenac passes in small amounts into breast milk. However, DIKY must not be applied to the breast area of breastfeeding mothers or to large areas of skin and must not be used for long periods of time.
Read the package leaflet carefully before taking the medicine. Do not exceed the recommended dosage. Keep out of reach of children. In case of side effects, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Keep this product out of sight and reach of children. Do not use this product after the expiry date stated on the label, box and bottle for Use by:. The expiry date shall be the last day of the month indicated. Keep in original packaging. Do not use DIKY after a period of 6 months from first opening.
