Duofilm is a skin solution for topical use to treat warts. Duofilm is used to treat warts in adults, adolescents and children over the age of two. A wart is a viral disease in the superficial layer of the skin (a tiny skin growth formed by the growth of skin cells). The time between infection and the manifestation of the disease (the appearance of a wart) varies from a few weeks to several months.
Warts can be transmitted by contact of the virus with broken skin, especially where it is hot and humid. This is why swimming pools are one of the most common sources of infection. The use of Duofilm leads to a controlled disruption of the keratin (the layer of tough thick skin on the surface of the wart). Therefore, the product should only be used on warts. If the skin symptoms do not disappear within 12 weeks, you must consult a doctor. Pack size: 15 ml.
Remove the patch and immerse the area with the wart or warts in hot water for five minutes. Dry with your own towel. Gently rub the surface of the wart with a pumice stone, coarse washcloth or nail file (this must not cause bleeding). Use the applicator to apply Duofilm to the wart once a day, preferably in the evening before going to bed. Use enough Duofilm to cover the surface of the wart but not to get the product on the surrounding healthy skin. Allow Duofilm to dry and then, if the wart is larger or localised on the sole of the foot, cover with a plaster.
