The Epson EB-L210SW laser projector combines high performance with low maintenance for meeting rooms and educational institutions. Thanks to 3LCD technology and a laser light source, it produces a consistently bright and colour-rich image in a native WXGA 1440 × 900 resolution. Its brightness of 4000 ANSI lumens reliably overcomes ambient light, which is crucial for daytime presentations. This short-throw projector creates a large screen size even from a minimal distance, preventing distracting shadows and glare for the presenter. The laser source's lifespan is up to 30000 hours in ECO mode, significantly reducing running costs. Additionally, integrated wireless connectivity with Miracast support simplifies sharing content from various devices without needing cables.
The 3LCD display technology uses an image with a native resolution of 1440 × 900 WXGA 2 and a 16:10 aspect ratio. A high contrast ratio exceeding 5000000:1 contributes to deep blacks and readable detail. The 0.45–0.65:1 throw ratio means the projector displays a large, shadow-free image even when placed close to the projection surface. The image size is adjustable from 53" to 300". Image geometry is adjusted by automatic vertical keystone correction of ±15° and manual horizontal correction within the same range. A digital zoom with a 1–1.35 factor is used for precise image framing.
At the heart of the projector is a laser light source, which provides a brightness of 4000 ANSI lumens in standard mode and 2800 lumens in power-saving ECO mode. This allows it to display a clearly visible image even in rooms that are not blacked out. The main advantage of laser technology is the light source's lifespan of up to 30000 hours in ECO mode (20000 hours in standard), which eliminates the need for lamp replacements and reduces total running costs. Power consumption is 201W during normal operation, dropping to 144W in ECO mode. The cooling fan noise is just 27dB(A) in power-saving mode.
A built-in 16W speaker provides basic audio for presentations. For more demanding audio needs, it offers a headphone output and two audio inputs. The split-screen function, which displays two sources simultaneously on one surface, increases collaboration efficiency. The projector is also compatible with visualisers for projecting physical documents or 3D objects. Weighing 4.6kg and measuring 90 × 325 × 337mm, it offers flexible installation options, whether on the ceiling, wall, or as a free-standing device on a table.
The projector supports extensive connectivity options. An integrated Wi-Fi module (IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac), along with Wi-Fi Direct and Miracast, enables wireless screen mirroring from laptops and mobile devices. The iProjection app is used for managing and streaming content. Physical connectivity includes two digital HDMI ports, an analogue VGA output, two VGA outputs, and a LAN port for network connection with web control capability. Also available are a USB 2.0 port, a USB 2.0 Type B port (service only), an RS-232C interface for integration into control systems, and a set of audio connectors, including a microphone input and a headphone output.
Epson is a technology company based in Japan. It is a subsidiary of the Seiko Group, and on of the most important manufacturers of printers, scanners and multimedia projectors. The company's offerings are much broader though, encompassing industrial robots, cash registers, and more.
