The Epson EB-L520U laser projector uses 3LCD imaging technology and has a native WUXGA resolution. Its light output of 5200 lumens is sufficient for projection in well-lit rooms. Support for 4K input and a high contrast ratio contribute to a sharp and detailed image, which can be scaled up to a 500" screen size. The long-life laser light source requires infrequent maintenance. A wide range of connectivity options, including HDBaseT and optional wireless connectivity, facilitates both fixed installation in lecture halls and flexible use in meeting rooms.
The 3LCD imaging technology produces vivid colours without the distracting rainbow effect. The native WUXGA (1920×1200) resolution with a 16:10 aspect ratio provides a detailed display. The high luminosity of 5200 ANSI lumens in standard mode and 3640 ANSI lumens in ECO mode is sufficient for projection in well-lit spaces. An exceptional contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1 renders deep blacks and fine details in dark scenes. The image size can be adjusted from a 50" to a 500" screen size.
The laser light source requires almost no maintenance and has a lifespan of 20000 hours in normal mode. In the energy-saving ECO mode, the lifespan extends to 30000 hours. The cooling noise level reaches 31dB(A) in normal mode and drops to 23dB(A) in the quiet ECO mode, which does not disturb presentations. Power consumption during standard operation is 234W, while in economy mode it reduces to 164W.
The projector is designed for a Normal Throw distance with a projection ratio of 1.35–2.20:1. You can easily align the image using manual keystone correction both horizontally and vertically within a range of ±30°. The 1.6× manual zoom makes it easy to adjust the image size without having to move the projector. The device can be installed on the ceiling, a table, the floor or mounted on a wall.
The wide range of connectors covers all common needs in corporate and educational environments. It includes two HDMI inputs, two VGA inputs, a VGA output, and an HDBaseT interface for long-distance signal transmission. The physical connectors are complemented by LAN and RS-232C for network management. Wireless connectivity via Wi-Fi and Miracast is available with the purchase of an optional module.
Epson is a technology company based in Japan. It is a subsidiary of the Seiko Group, and on of the most important manufacturers of printers, scanners and multimedia projectors. The company's offerings are much broader though, encompassing industrial robots, cash registers, and more.
