Selecting a source
When choosing a suitable PC power supply, power output is a key factor alongside the form factor. This indicates the maximum number of watts that the power supply is capable of continuously delivering to the computer’s components. It is advisable to use the online calculator to work out the optimal performance based on your chosen components.
Quiet cooling and connectors
Heat dissipation is handled by a 120mm fan, which automatically adjusts its speed according to the current temperature, ensuring the system runs quietly. A 40 cm cable is provided for connecting components, which includes connectors for basic and office setups. Among these, you will find three SATA connectors, two Molex connectors and one 6-pin PCI-E connector for powering a discrete graphics card.

80 Plus certification on the European market
The 80 Plus certification was established to provide an objective assessment of the efficiency of computer power supplies. This provides users with a simple and clear comparison of the different models. On the European market (where the voltage is 230 V), there are six levels of 80 Plus certification, each with specific requirements for computer power supplies. Greater energy efficiency means, above all, lower energy consumption.
| PC power supply load | Efficiency at 20% load | Efficiency at 50% load | Efficiency at 100% load |
|---|---|---|---|
| 80 PLUS | 82 % | 85 % | 82 % |
| 80 PLUS Bronze | 85 % | 88 % | 85 % |
| 80 PLUS Silver | 87 % | 90 % | 87 % |
| 80 PLUS Gold | 90 % | 92% | 89 % |
| 80 PLUS Platinum | 92% | 94 % | 90 % |
