Tom Clancys:EndWar contains three levels of planning and command. The first is the view from the satellite, where you can see the current division of territory, battle lines and their overall state of war.The second level is the commanding view, you can see a tactical map of a particular battlefield, where you can enter your guidance units - typically groups of twenty to be infantry, vehicles or aircraft, of which, in practice, each containing up to several dozen specific soldiers or equipment. The last level of gameplay, where you spend the most time by far, is akin to looking straight at the battlefield - whether it be a foot soldier or pilot an aircraft. The last view is described by a major, fulfilling the intention of authors to bear in an RTS game camera from bird bird's-eye view down to the ground.
