The GIGABYTE B850 EAGLE WIFI6E motherboard is built on the AMD B850 chipset with an AM5 socket, which ensures compatibility with AMD Ryzen™ 9000, 8000 and 7000 series processors. This ATX board features a 6-layer Mid-Loss PCB to minimise signal loss. The manufacturer has implemented a Twin Digital VRM design with an 8+2+2 phase configuration, where eight 60A DrMOS VCORE phases handle the main processor power, two SOC phases ensure the stability of the integrated graphics and memory controller, and a further two MISC phases supply the PCIe lanes connected directly to the processor. The power connectors use a UD Power Connector design with Solid Pin technology for better conductivity and durability during repeated use. The standard 24-pin ATX connector is complemented by a 4+8-pin CPU power combination.

M.2 Thermal Guard heatsinks with 5W/mK thermal pads reduce temperatures by up to 7°C. Traditional storage can be connected via four SATA III ports.

The board offers four DDR5 memory slots in a dual-channel configuration with support for AMD EXPO™ profiles. Thanks to advanced signal optimisation methods, including an AI-driven PCB design and D5 Bionic Corsa technology, the board achieves an overclocking potential of up to 8200MT/s. The design of the memory slots ensures compatibility with a wide range of memory modules, with specific supported models listed in the manufacturer's QVL. The HyperTune BIOS system uses AI-powered optimisation to automatically fine-tune memory parameters.
Advanced cooling and ventilation
The VRM section is protected by massive all-metal heatsinks with four times the cooling surface area of basic solutions, ensuring efficient heat dissipation under long-term load. High-quality chokes and capacitors contribute to power stability, even when overclocking. The Smart Fan 6 system provides detailed fan speed control, including support for AIO water coolers directly in the BIOS.
