Titan, chemická značka Ti, (lat. Titanium) je šedý až stříbřitě bílý, lehký kov, poměrně hojně zastoupený v zemské kůře. Je poměrně tvrdý a mimořádně odolný proti korozi i ve slané vodě. Při teplotách pod 0,39 K se stává supravodičem I typu. Jeho výrazně většímu technologickému uplatnění brání doposud vysoká cena výroby čistého kovu.
