It contains a special fertilizer called Osmocote, which is effective for up to 6 months. It thus provides plants with a long-term supply of nutrients. The substrate also includes a starter fertiliser that supports root development and the plant in the initial growth phase. It helps plants to absorb nutrients efficiently. The substrate base contributes to the rooting process of the plants.
