The IK Multimedia ARC Studio is a hardware and software system for room acoustics correction. ARC Studio for Digital, Analogue, and Hi-Fi Listening Environments
The ARC Studio is a multifunctional system for use in purely digital, DAW-based studios as well as purely analogue studios with a mixing console and tape machine. The device can also be applied in Hi-Fi listening rooms, presentation spaces, and other rooms where a demanding and precise listening experience is essential.
Room Acoustics Measurement and Listening Correction
The system combines the new ARC 4 measurement software, a room analysis microphone, and a standalone correction processor. Installation is quick and easy – just connect the measurement microphone to the interface, and within moments, it will start measuring the acoustic properties of your listening space. The result is a 3D acoustic profile, which is then used to correct problematic areas.

ARC Studio Switcher Connectors and Indicators
On the front of the device, there are three LEDs to indicate its operational status. The Power LED shows the processor is on, while the Correction LED indicates that room correction is active. The Signal/Clip indicator is green for signal and turns red to warn of signal clipping. The rear panel features:
- Input – 2× female XLR for balanced stereo input
- Output – 2× male XLR for balanced stereo output
- USB-C – for connection to a computer, measurement, and control software
- DC-In – for connecting the power adaptor
ARC Studio Correction and Setting Options
The ARC Studio offers precise control over individual profiles and correction settings for your specific listening space. You have access to:
- Frequency range – 0.5 to 40,000Hz
- Ultra-stable clocking – with extremely low jitter
- Target Curves – the system comes with 9 factory curves for most situations
- Adjustable Correction Range – default setting with ARC correction across the entire frequency spectrum, with the option to define upper and lower limits
- Variable Resolution and Smoothing – adjust the resolution and precision of the correction filter
- Two phase modes – Natural and Linear
ARC 4 and Virtual Monitoring of Studio Monitors
The ARC 4 model includes a new, more natural correction algorithm, a new standalone application for managing the ARC Studio, and expanded virtual monitoring with over 20 profiles of iconic studio monitors. There is also a new Quick Mode in the Analysis application and updated graphics with both light and dark modes.
