The INSYS MIRO L200 industrial router is used to securely connect industrial devices to the internet and for their remote management. This gateway operates at network layers L3 and L4, distributing data in both corporate and industrial environments. The device uses the icom OS operating system, which integrates advanced network security features and maintains stable data transmission even in demanding conditions. This compact device supports 4G LTE mobile networks and older standards for continuous connectivity. Network administrators can use the centralised management system for remote configuration and bulk firmware updates. Two RJ-45 LAN ports with a speed of 10/100Mbit/s and 1.5kV galvanic isolation are used to connect end devices. There is also one configurable digital input or output for status signalling or simple control of external elements. Device management is made easy by the web interface with a help function or the centralised system for bulk firmware updates.
The plastic body, measuring 77×99×26mm, allows for installation in space-constrained locations such as switchboards or vending machines. Users will appreciate the flexible mounting options using the supplied DIN rail bracket on two different axes. The device can also be mounted directly onto a wall or mounting plates using screws, depending on the needs of the specific installation.
A quad-core processor running at 600MHz ensures the smooth operation of all network processes. The system is complemented by 448MB of RAM and 1000MB of flash memory for storing configurations and firmware. This hardware configuration handles the simultaneous processing of large data streams without any drop in transfer speed.
The router supports OpenVPN, IPsec and PPTP encrypted protocols to create secure encrypted channels over public networks. The device can create up to 20 concurrent IPsec VPN tunnels and the same number of SSL/VPN connections for remote access. The AES encryption standard protects transmitted data from unauthorised access from the external internet.
The device supports the division of the physical network into up to 99 virtual VLANs for effective separation of company traffic. An integrated firewall with HTTPS inspection and L3 and L4 packet filtering prevents unauthorised access to the local network. The router also supports the MQTT communication protocol, which simplifies the integration of devices into IoT systems.
The device's construction is highly resistant to vibration and shock, confirmed by independent tests for industrial use. The router operates reliably in a temperature range from -40°C to 75°C, so it can be installed in unheated spaces and near hot machinery. Power is supplied via a 2-pin terminal block with reverse polarity and surge protection.
