Intel has recently introduced to the market its 7th generation processors, this time codenamed Kaby Lake. In principle, the architecture is very similar to the popular predecessor Skylake series. Intel has added various optimisations and tweaks, which has created a reliable processor series that delivers a real increase in performance while maintaining minimal energy consumption.

Improved manufacturing technology
The Kaby Lake architecture is once again based on the 14nm manufacturing process. Intel has improved the initially demanding production process to absolute perfection, giving this processor series an excellent price-performance ratio.
