Intel Quad-Core Xeon X5506 is an extremely powerful quad-core processor designed for use in the most powerful servers and workstations. The processor is manufactured by 45 nm production process and is based on a proven core Nehalem.Intel Xeon 5506 is designed for use with motherboards possessing socket LGA1366.Each of its four cores working at a frequency of 2.13 GHz, which makes processor offers truly powerful computing potential. The processor has also 4 MB L3, which is again significantly larger quantities than they encounter at most other solutions. A new dedicated high-speed bus design enables increased throughput and bandwidth expansion between the processor and chipset.Processor contains many innovative features that make doing a better utilization of system resources in the virtualization and accelerates the response speed applications. The advantage is the excellent optimization for multi-threaded applications and seamless multitasking application with demanding programs.
Generally, the higher the number, the more powerful the processor. For an office PC, a basic processor series will be more than sufficient, but for more challenging work and gaming you will require a more advanced processor.
Socket of the processor is the connector on the motherboard, designed for connecting processors. Intel and AMD have a different socket, as well as differences between model lines. Processors and...
One of the main parameters of the processor, indicating the number of instructions that the processor can execute in 1 s. The higher frequency, the better working efficiency of the processor.

Generally speaking, the newer the technology, the more powerful processor, more fuel efficient and offers more possibilities for use. Currently, the best selling is the 22nm technology, however there...
L3 cache is the largest cache processor. Only one core can write, but it can be read from all the others. It brings greater importance for processors with four or more cores.
