ECC Technologies checked transparently and in real time integrity of data stored in memory. It is able to detect and correct an error in a single bit error and detect two bits. Some memory controllers can in cooperation with ECC memory repair the errors of greater magnitude. Most server board requires ECC memory support. In collaboration with parity checking memory reaches maximum control of data transferred.
Parity lies in the fact that the word jednobytovému added auxiliary information (the parity bit), and thanks to it can then verify the authenticity of transmitted data.
