Levenhuk Discovery Micro Solar
The Levenhuk Discovery Micro is an entry-level biological microscope that allows you to observe transparent specimens. These can be ready-made preparations, microworld in a drop of water or your own preparations. The microscope is small and lightweight, making it easily portable. Therefore, you can not only use it at home, but you can also take it with you on a trip or in the countryside.

Discover the details of the world around us
The magnification range is from 40× to 640×, so bacteria or blood cells cannot be seen. However, a microscope allows you to see some of the animal and plant tissues, to observe cells and to examine parts of insects and tiny organisms that live in water. The microscope is equipped with three objectives (4×, 10× and 40× magnification) and a sliding two-position eyepiece with 10-16× magnification. The head is inclined at an angle of 45°, making it easier to work for long periods of observation. Sharpness is adjusted manually using the coarse focus knobs. The microscope is easy to use, even for the inexperienced user.
Adjustable LED lighting and battery power
The samples are placed on a table on which they can be fixed with two clamps. Under the table is LED lighting. It is recommended to use lighting in case of insufficient ambient light. As the backlight is battery powered (not included), the lighting can be used where mains power is not available. The brightness of the lighting is adjustable. The luminous flux can also be corrected by means of disc apertures.
Educational publications about the microworld
The microscope comes with the educational publication "The Invisible World". This colourful publication tells young scientists about the microworld. You can read about the history of microscopy, microorganisms and the different structures that can be seen under the microscope. The book describes not only interesting facts, but also experiments that can be carried out at home.
