Optical design for astronomical observations
The Levenhuk New Skyline Plus 6" Dobsonian telescope uses a Newtonian reflector design with a primary parabolic mirror. The parabolic shape of the mirror helps to eliminate spherical aberration and allows for a sharp image even at higher magnifications. The optical elements are made of BK-7 glass and have an aluminium reflective coating with a reflectivity of approximately 85%. The 152 mm aperture allows you to capture enough light to observe fainter deep space objects. The 2" diameter circular elevator allows the use of a wide range of astronomical accessories. Adapter for 1.25" eyepieces increases compatibility with conventional eyepieces.
