Melatonin is a hormone naturally produced by the pineal gland in the evening and at night. According to an approved EU health claim, a 1mg dose of supplemental melatonin contributes to the reduction of time taken to fall asleep (when taken shortly before bed). The low 1mg dose is generally well-tolerated and suitable for occasional use – when travelling across time zones, working shifts, or during occasional periods of difficulty falling asleep. Made in the EU, gluten-free, non-GMO.

Deep within the brain, in a tiny gland called the pineal gland, melatonin production begins every evening as the surrounding light naturally fades. Its level in the blood rises in the evening, peaks at night, and falls again in the morning. This rhythm acts as an internal clock, telling the body it's time to rest, slow down, and sleep. The modern lifestyle – blue light from screens, shift work, travelling across time zones, an irregular routine – often disrupts this rhythm. Furthermore, in older adults, the natural production of melatonin gradually declines with age.

Melatonin, microcrystalline cellulose (bulking agent), gelatine (capsule shell), stearic acid, silicon dioxide. Gluten-free, non-GMO. The capsule is made of gelatine – it is not vegan.
Recommended dosage
1 capsule (1mg) shortly before bedtime. The effect on falling asleep usually occurs 20–60 minutes after taking. For jet lag: 1 capsule shortly before bedtime on the first day of travel and for a few more days at the destination. Melatonin does not cause physical dependence. We recommend using it only when needed, not as a blanket measure every night.

Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. This food supplement is not intended as a substitute for a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. Not intended for children, pregnant or breastfeeding women. Take only shortly before bedtime. Do not drive or operate machinery after use – melatonin can cause drowsiness. If you are also taking sleeping pills, sedatives, antidepressants, anticoagulants, or diabetes medication, or if you have epilepsy or autoimmune diseases, consult your doctor before use. Keep out of reach of children.
