Fights reliably against diarrhoea and provides rapid soothing of the intestine by thickening the stool and reducing its frequency. It is effective for the treatment of diarrhea in adults, adolescents and children from 6 years of age.
There is no more unpleasant situation than when diarrhoea catches you when you least need it. The first dose of Loperon® can relieve the unpleasant symptoms of acute diarrhoea! The effect occurs within 1 hour when the prescribed dose of 4 mg is taken. The active ingredient loperamide hydrochloride has proven itself for many years in the treatment of acute diarrhoea and therefore Loperon® should not be missing from any medicine cabinet. It is intended for adults, adolescents and children from 6 years of age.
How does Loperon® work?
Loperon® is used to treat acute and chronic diarrhea*, offering an effective solution for your digestive problems. It is used to treat diarrhea in cases where the actual cause of diarrhea cannot be treated. It thickens the stool and reduces its frequency. Its active ingredient loperamide hydrochloride acts directly in the intestine and is very well tolerated by our digestion. In addition to treating diarrhea symptoms, it also helps relieve unpleasant abdominal discomfort caused by intestinal gas, bloating and cramps

What are the most common causes of diarrhea?
Diarrhea can be caused by unusual food, stress, but also by bacteria or viruses. It is not only unpleasant, but also throws the body out of balance. Diarrhoea is a sign that something in your body is not working properly. Watery diarrhoea makes you lose too much fluid and thus energy. Loperon® stops acute diarrhoea and helps restore the physiological activity of the intestine.

What should we look out for with diarrhoea?
The intestines are very important for digestion - they absorb nutrients from the diet and fluids. In the case of diarrhoea, the intestines work "fast", which results in food not being fully digested, the fluids taken in are not sufficiently absorbed and the stools become thin and watery. This is where Loperon® comes in. Its active ingredient loperamide hydrochloride slows down the activity of the intestines, this increases fluid absorption and rapid bowel movements return to normal and acute diarrhea is stopped.
Prevent dehydration of the body
As you lose a lot of fluid with diarrhoea, it is important to pay close attention to replacing it and to drink enough (much more than usual) to prevent dehydration. In addition, it is important to take care of the right diet. Frequent, small meals are recommended, and milk, caffeinated drinks and high-fibre foods should be avoided. Suitable foods are, that won't irritate your digestion too much, such as bananas, stewed carrots, older pastries, biscuits, cooked lean meat, etc.
Usage of Loperon® 2 mg 10 capsules
Loperon® capsules should be taken independently of food at any time of the day, along with an adequate amount of liquid. For acute diarrhea, adults and adolescents from 12 years of age take 2 capsules as an initial dose, children from 6 years of age take 1 capsule. Subsequently, 1 capsule is taken after each informal stool. The maximum daily dose for adults is 8 capsules. For children, the maximum daily dose is determined according to body weight (3 capsules per 20 kg), but never exceed 8 capsules per day. Long-term use is only possible under medical supervision. If your condition does not improve within 48 hours, consult your doctor. For chronic diarrhea, take this product only on the advice of a doctor. The dosage and duration of treatment is always determined by the doctor.
Storage
Keep this product out of sight and reach of children. Do not use this product after the expiry date stated on the box after "EXP". The expiry date shall be the last day of the month indicated. This medicine does not require any special storage conditions. Do not dispose of any medicines in wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of products you no longer use. These measures help protect the environment.

Do not take Loperon® if you are allergic to the medicine or to any of the other ingredients in this medicine; if you have acute diarrhoea accompanied by blood in the stool or high fever. Loperon® should not be given to children under 2 years of age. The use of the product is not recommended during pregnancy and lactation.
