The Thrash212 is a two-way active speaker that delivers crystal-clear, balanced sound and flexible connectivity. Inside the Thrash212, you'll find a 12" woofer and a 1" tweeter, which, combined with the Class-D amplifier, deliver a maximum power of up to 1300W. The rear panel features two combined XLR/TRS inputs and an XLR output with separate volume controls. You can place the speaker on a speaker stand or use its angled shape as a stage monitor. Four handles ensure comfortable and safe transport between productions.

System Type
An active speaker is one that has a built-in amplifier, so all you need to do is connect it to a sound source, either wired or wirelessly, to listen. Passive speakers are more often referred to as speaker systems. They are designed for high-quality, loud, and dynamic listening in the comfort of your home and are not suitable for frequent transport. The main advantage of passive speakers is the ability to connect a variety of sources through a separate amplifier.
Number of Channels
The number of channels in speaker systems and home cinemas indicates the number of independent audio signals (speakers) and subwoofers, most often in an X.Y format (e.g., 2.0, 5.1). It specifies how many audio tracks are reproduced simultaneously, which determines the surround sound experience and bass depth of the system, from basic stereo sound (2.0) to surround sound (5.1 and above).
Active speakers have a custom built-in amplifier (typically a PC speakers). Conversely, passive systems require an external amplifier, from which the sound goes to each speaker.
The number of channels refers to the number of independent audio signals that can be reproduced simultaneously. An example might be 2-channel stereo sound, where each channel represents one ear (left and right), or 5.1 channel surround sound, which has five full channels (front left, center, front right, rear left, rear right) and one channel for the subwoofer.

The number of bands refers to the number of frequency bands that the loudspeaker or system reproduces. A single-band loudspeaker produces all the sounds from a single transducer, while a multi-band loudspeaker has multiple transducers, each optimised for a specific frequency range (e.g. high, mid, low frequencies). Multiband systems often provide better sound quality because each band can be reproduced by a transducer designed specifically for that frequency range.
