What causes tooth sensitivity?
Retreating gums and damaged tooth enamel can expose thousands of microscopic canals in the tooth neck that lead to the tooth nerve. If your teeth come into contact with something hot, cold or sweet, these sensations are transmitted through these canals directly to the tooth nerve, causing pain.
