Yunnan Special Pu Erh Small Leaf - Excellent grade of dark (Shu) Pu Erh, made of relatively small, golden tips and young leaves.

An excellent grade of Pu Erh tea, made from relatively small, golden tips and young, tender leaves. In the infusion, it has a pleasantly earthy taste with light nutty notes and a relatively pronounced aroma characteristic of higher grades of Yunnan red teas. The Yunnan region is perhaps most famous for its production of Pu Erh tea, named after the town of the same name, where tea was once heavily traded, and every tea traded there was called Pu Erh. Later, when tea became famous, many tea traders from other growing areas came to the Yunnan area. The teas were either mixed with Pu Erh or simply sold under the name Pu Erh, which allowed them to increase the selling price. At present, the definition is that Pu Erh tea may only be plucked from the large-leaved variety of the tea tree growing in Yunnan Province.
Preparation of 10 g of tea in a 0.5 l teapot: infusion - water at a temperature of approx. 95 °C, infuse for 3 to 8 minutes.
Store in a dark, dry and cool place.
