A human, a tokkebi, a rekon, and a naga continue their dangerous journey to the Hainsha Temple. On their heels is a ruthless bloodthirsty woman with a great tiger and thousands of demonic Tuokshini. They are not far from the monks who are impatiently waiting for them with an urgent task, but along the way they still have to deal with mountain goat lovers, a terrible storm and echoes of the distant past.
Meanwhile, tensions are rising in the Naga city of Hatengraz, Vias and Karintol of the Makerou family can no longer hide their mutual hostility, the Goddess' s grooms are restless and something is brewing.
But is it the murder of a god, as the waterfall of remains suggests, or are the Traceless Goddess, the Sub-All-being Goddess, the Nowhere God, and the Self-Destructing God safe and about to do something much more mundane?

The series The Bird That Drinks Tears presents a concept of fantasy that consciously avoids aesthetics as we know it from the Euro-American form of the genre. Yet, in this intoxication with Korean mythology and imagination, I am not afraid to think, for example, about the depth and breadth of The Witcher.

Lee Young-do
(born. 1972) is a renowned Korean fantasy author. He has been a highly regarded writer in his country ever since he began publishing the first stories about Dragon Raj. He followed up his initial success with the tetralogy The Bird That Drinks Tears (2003), based on which the Krafton studio is preparing a computer game. The successful series was followed by the series The Bird That Drinks Blood (2005). Currently, his books are published in more than fifteen languages.
