Second, The updated edition of Academic English should be at hand for every scholar, Scientist, student, expert or researcher, who wants to communicate properly in English in the world of higher education and science. It provides an attractive introduction to the specifics of academic language and introduces the principles of basic linguistic and soft skills, on the successful mastery of which academic and professional success in a given field depends to a large extent. The peculiarities of academic English are presented in the book in a readable way that captures the language in its entirety – from vocabulary and grammar through reading and listening to speaking and writing.
