An eye for an eye

Defense attorney Brynn Holloran feels like a fish out of water among cops, criminals and lawyers. The good-looking young lawyer can command respect in the courtroom with her sharp humour and biting remarks. She loves her job and everyone knows not to take it lightly, but her personal life is a chapter unto itself. Ex-boyfriend Adam is about to get married and Brynn prefers to spend all her free time studying court files.

But when the vicious serial killer she once helped put behind bars escapes from prison, one thing is certain: Brynn suddenly found herself in mortal danger. The bloody hunt for revenge is just beginning…

Brynn's employer is on a knife edge with the Dallas police, so she has to turn to a private firm to protect her attorneys. But the stubborn lawyer can't accept the idea of being followed by a bevy of bodyguards at every turn. The timing couldn't have been worse. Brynn is handling the most important case of her career and refuses to make concessions, even at the cost of her own safety.

Agent Erik Morgan isn't too thrilled with his assignment either. Brynn keeps him awake, drawing him in so that he can't take his eyes off her, breaking his concentration. But both soon realise that the threat of death is more than real and that a fierce enemy can slip unexpectedly close.
