Atomic Baba

Not just talking about nuclear energy

The interview with Dana Drábová is not just about talking about nuclear energy, the current risks and benefits of its use, or about a quarter of a century of the atomic woman at the head of the State Office for Nuclear Safety. She also describes the political behind-the-scenes events she learned about during the opening of Temelín and the plans for the completion of Dukovany, her involvement in municipal politics back home in Pyšely, and the Russian aggression in Ukraine and its impacts on the field of nuclear safety. Above all, it is an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of a well-known personality in other contexts and in the environment that shapes their character and opinions, as well as to learn about a field that has and will have an impact on the lives of each of us. The interview was conducted by environmentalist and editor Radek Štěpánek and scientist and university lecturer Jiří Plešek.
