BASIL - Wallachian Duke

A hero from the Moravian forests in a story full of pagan gods and dark wilderness

The legendary creator of many fantasy heroes, Miroslav Žamboch, never ceases to surprise. After all the fantastic heroes, he brings to light an ordinary guy from Moravia. And you bet he's not just any ordinary guy. Because it's Basil...

First half of the thirteenth century. The Přemyslid kingdom grows stronger, the Bohemian basin is more and more densely populated, new villages and towns are founded. However, one only has to make two or three day's marches eastwards to reach the Moravian forests, where the pagan deities of the ancestors still resist the ever stronger Christianity. The hand of the king has not yet reached here, and it is hard to survive among the wolves, bears and mysterious inhabitants of the wilderness; It seems almost impossible when a self-appointed master does not protect his subjects, but enslaves them. But people are just as tough and unforgiving as the landscape they live in, and some have more than just human blood in their veins. Radhošt' and Radegast look down on the gloomy land and watch indifferently who will become the Wallachian Duke.
